My work explores the movements of pedestrians through the urban landscape and the ways in which they carve their trajectories through crowds and city spaces. It contrasts the slowness of ambling groups and individuals with the chaotic rush and fragmented sensations at the height of the bustle. I use photographs and drawings made on location to make visual notes. Paint has its own language in which these experiences are absorbed and translated.
