The project stems from the need to get out of the traditional pattern of urban photography to create a 'work which contains also the soul of the city, meaning all of its contradictions, its dualism, its issues. Pictures are processed by a software that highlights some details, mixes in layers people and things, architectures and materials, iconographic details and elements of disorder and, in the particular case of Bologna, a dark ambiguity, a struggle between positive and negative, often gloomy, that pervades the twists and turns of the historic city.
