Indifference to Engagement

As communities are dissolving in England, this place, Birkenhead had a thriving community. All the houses were demolished, one house stands true to it's owners belief. The flag represents 'an Englishmans house is his castle', as the council has tried to remove him from his own property, he will not leave. The red houses represent the housing that had been there before, the fragility has been destroyed, the red house comes from the Liverpool International Biennial, this is a current theme going through my work at present.Charles Wright stands true to his convictions and stand alone, his only company is his dog.
