The place is able to give off its monumental majesty, making the posing people close to some statues of rare beauty. The same doesn’t happen to the quality of their selfies: huge smiling faces with a blurred shape of color at their back. The series, here in part reproduced, grasps the strong investiture of love for this daily ritual and grants its wish. The project allows the subject to become himself monument, creating through this succession of poses what was the legendary Grand Tour for artists and intellectuals on the road. A vision full of exemplaries, worthy of a rapt admiration for their exotic preciousness.
