Painted Lady

This painting is about internal dialog. It is a negative of conventional figurative work with the abstract internal surrounding the figure instead of representation forms coating the inside of the form. The colours and shapes were taken from a chance meeting with a 'Painted lady' butterfly who's name also lends to the piece as in the modern world we are so bombarded by the by the air-brushed external.
