The love between Cupid and Psyche is synthesized by the two lovers' tender embrace.
In this picture, which proposes a new reading of Apuleius's tale, Psyche does not live the meeting with the divine passively; on the contrary, by drawing the wings of her companion, enables Cupid to fly and teach us to love.
