Dead-City-01
From my art project Climate-Change:
My art project “climate-change” consists of photography-digital art, installation, painting
and drawing.
For “Celeste Project Prize 2014” I have chosen a series of photographs from this project,
called “Dead City”.

The climate change will have influence as well on nature as on our artificial worlds - e.g. architecture. It will force many people to migration of nations in order to escape from nature disasters. That will lead to overpopulation in other regions and there it will have negative influence on the housing situation. In order to supply people with enough housing space, architecture will fall back on cheap mass construction. There will arise inhuman housing areas, soulless large scale architecture (dead cities).
My images show the positive side of the negative situation, they show the beauty of the ugly of these upcoming architectural structures.
The basic of these images are one or more photographs, which are formed by transformation and combination to a new image. I am not concerned to create total novel and crazy worlds, but I want to keep the character of the originals and to make visible and reinforce the enigmatic. In this way artificial images are arising, which look a bit like reality. Sometimes reality images which were not digital treated are arising looking artificial. My chief aim is to show images with an ambivalent character.
