The Children of Herakles

My recent works deal with the child-like as a vehicle to explore anti-social themes, which through a classical Grecian sensibility aim to re-interpret today’s westernized society. ‘A Modern Mythology’ is a series of prints that combine a unique catalogue of appropriated imagery from both classical antiquity, along side contemporary images from the overly accessible media, which transform Superman into a modern day god, Obama into a modern day hero and an American child dressed as a suicide bomber for Halloween into a modern day Dionysus.
