Di Padre in Figlio
All these small jobs are created by the interaction with some paintings by my father (who died in 1993).
In short, I took some pictures of my father and I printed the image, much reduced in size, on A4 sheets. Then I started to paint on the same sheet as to continue my way, his pictorial discourse. As in the game that I was taught as a child, which amused me to continue drawing in a few consistent traits that had touched on a sheet, and then exchange roles and decide who was "as good", so now, orphan of his presence but not the memory and love, I began from the work of my father to conclude with mine. The magnification of the light box is also an affective and emotional exaltation of work and represents an interest in the expression that is contained in the "small gestures" but it is revealed with striking effect in the expansion of the original immage.
