Symphony in D (Major)
This work was made partly in response to the location of the exhibition space, which is underneath the War Memorial in Norwich city centre. There is specially composed music to accompany this work consisting of violin and classical guitar. In addition to this is a story concerning a D.W. Boyd-Jones who may or may not have fought in WW1, and an unknown person who recorded the last song played by Boyd-Jones. The text is:

‘…in a brief moment everything suddenly stopped. I became aware of the silence. Slowly, I heard a song being played on a guitar. I’d never heard the song before, but immediately thought of My Love. Gradually the music faded from my ears…’
