I decided to introduce a new element in the composition of each work functional to my purpose. Using a masking tape to create the grid I present the portraits in the background of it.
The grid creates a distance with the viewer but not an obstacle to perceive the faces behind it.
What is this grid?
Who are these women?
These are among the questions I would like to suggest the viewer looking at them.

I also present the artworks in an unusual way instead of stretching the canvas. The canvas is left raw and folded in 3 parts, hanging on a clothes hanger. The portraits become objects, calling in mind daily gestures we never think about.
