Dying to Remember

Absence & memory are key aspects to this work. For 18 months after my mother died memories would float up at unexpected moments. Her presence was stronger at times than when she was alive. Roadside memorials were a starting point for the composition & I used love tokens, my wife's valentine card & my daughters fathers day toy as a way of personalising the piece.
