Too Many Words

Too Many Words is an installation of photographic images framed of frozen moments of
performances by actors. But, because I provide no background for or explanation of them, the
spectator will not know the stories behind them. As a result, the installation is meant to open a
door to the unknown. I am intrigued by the various ways viewers might read this piece, and how
each of us makes conceptual and psychological connections to images based on our own
experiences.
This project meshes multiple art mediums together, photography, performance, installation and
sculpture. While I came to this work through performance, I am now focusing on photography,
sculpture and installation and utilize the process of acting to gain insight into our inner emotional
landscape.
