The Case of the Mini-Vigili
This project uses photography and notions of performativity to create a collaborative dialogue with a group of 13-year-olds who find themselves wearing traffic warden/police uniforms as a school initiative designed to teach good citizenship. The artist spends time with the kids and together they
discuss iconographic imagery in the face of a culture of throwaway streams of digital images. They realise a group of portraits that undo conventional modes, in a second time the children respond to their own portraits generating a new set of images.
