The operation contains three acts, which were filmed and gone up as a documentary showing my action.
The first act filmed in candid camera is the purchase of the picture (IKEA). We see me crossing the store, finding the stock of Audrey Hepburn’s portrait, taking one, paying it and going out.
The second act is the one of the reproduction. By serving me as the original, I reproduce the picture as before, but unlike IKEA I paint it in the oil. The fact of painting this image in the oil makes sacred this object so that it becomes the real painting which it tries to be. The impression(printing) to the tracer leads it to the everyday acceptance and the mass production. Whereas to paint it makes it unique. All the stages of the creation of the frame, the preparation of the painting, the painting, the reproduction of the bar code and the stake under plastic are filmed.
The final act is the delivery in store of the painting, again filmed in candid camera. A person believes to have bought a painting reproduced in millions of copies, the price of which will never irritate 69 euro, and will never take value. But really it is a unique piece A paper signed by my hand which authenticates the piece.
