This work has been developed from a series of sliced phone directories which can be read as a materialized thought process, an interwoven map or a cross-section of overflowing data. The rhythmic play of compression and flow and the underlying text within suggest an anxiety produced by information proliferation and overload and by our inability to process the volume of data we are exposed to. In Confluence, the need to navigate our current cultural condition and manage the chaos of endless data is dealt with and temporarily resolved
