imagination is a word hardly used in contemporary art hopefully these works helps put it back...

starting a work if quite often the fun part, it then quickly reverts to hard work... you are continously trying to pursue a differnet direction with the work itself... trying to surprise youself about it... really to do something different.. and this is the structure that i hope i have... the style element is pretty clear now... style portrays a way of working... to create you must destroy and that is what you have here inn the works.... a battle of surprise and control... quite often as a i mentioned the start of the work is the best part... well the actually making of the wooden structure is even better because its as if the shape talks with you... how do i start a piece well the overall size of the work and its out line, because they are not often rectangle in nature tell you what it wants..... but that's what working with art is i suppose... an understanding of what you want and how you go about getting it.... some of the paintings can measure upto 12ft in hight to 26ft in width... none of their out come was predicted... the end result is more intuition and yeah luck...!

This piece is much like performance art where it will be experienced differently by each viewer depending upon where their eye is drawn to. Quite fascinating and I am enjoying your rants. You've inspired me to expound upon my own experience.
