IMPERMANENCIA

This choreographical piece consists on an installation of many glasses facing down in a diaphanous space, on which a dancer is moving. She advances and makes some actions depending on the external conditions, following a trajectory in which some glasses fall down, some others break and the rest keep on staying intact. Thus, she gets involved in an experience of adaptation to the medium and resolution of conflicts, sometimes merely physical, but some others more psychological, leaving a defined trace behind her that remains as memory of what happened.

With a very concrete visual, sound and corporeal language, the work spreads diverse layers of lecture out, from the most purely sensorial to the most political, social and intellectual. In the process of learning of the basic movements for surviving, a dance is created that allows extrapolate each minimal detail into real life. The underlying discurse makes reference to the uninterrupted transformation of existence. The capacity to understand the own way as a conscious act in front of the unavoidable becomes indispensable to continue the route.

I don't know who makes up these accompanying statements... I guess much of socalled modern art is purely relying on those. So watchers can feel really dumb and don't dare to tell it's complete crap. The emperor's new clothes principle. But anyway - this is a cool performance. Well done.
