Sign Orchestra
Sign Orchestra is a performance documented through a video installation.
It is a sound performance in which there are three basic elements: time, sound and sign.
The sign is the spontaneous part of of the opera and the pencil is the medium that momentary trace the identity of the artist on a strip of paper, and the music box sound it originates.
The time has two components: an alarm clock that marks the objective time and a metronome that marks the second related to the perception of the artist.
The metronome, the alarm clock and music box through their faint sounds serve to highlight the silence and the space around it. The constant sound, brings the mind into a relaxed hypnotic state which resembles the human heart, and the mark made accompanied by the sound of the clarion conjures up images of our childhood. A small orchestra of silence and memories.
