D/Compose
As Kandinsky said : " “Color provokes a psychic vibration. Color hides a power still unknown but real, which acts on every part of the human body”.
D/COMPOSE is a mixed media installation, a collaborative and social experience. The concept is that (inter)actions initiated by visitors do parameter a machine that composes an oil painting on a huge canvas.
Individuals, independently and unintentionally influence and interact with each other. D/Compose tries to materialize these relationships by trapping settings for each person and us-ing them to create a common plastic work. The recorded parameters are related to the physical interactions of the visitors. A machine converts these parameters in projection of painting colors on a canvas. Thanks to this treatment, each colored ball identifies each person. The final oil painting is a collaborative creation representing all of the individuals who participated in the common creation.

• « Composition »: the machine creates an oil painting

It also gives the order to compose: color comes first, space is in second place. And you cannot link them since the color is chosen before the visitor can see the final canvas ».
