The work began as a portrait (father and daughter in real life) but then it evolved as a work in itself fully. I was interested to see the conflictual relationship between the man who can not have, which is the real father as John the Baptist, and his daughter, as novel Salome, is to cut the head of the prophet who morbidly loves. The result is a work of opposites (Eros and Thanatos themes dear to my poetic artist), and beauty as the vice of power. The monstrosity of the act strong and resolute, almost masculine, the right hand of Salome who holds fast to the severed head of the prophet like a trophy is opposed to the grace of the gesture of the other female hand holding it gently between your fingers a white lily, the symbol and the purity of his young age. The juxtaposition of the two actions and dialogue of the two characters with the bottom, intentionally black, highlighting the biblical story and the modern psychological analysis, projecting them in a context without moral and timeless.
