Puente Hills Couture

This sculptural jewelry piece is part of a series I created to bring awareness to the environmental and humanitarian effects of the fashion industry and encourage people to buy organic, fair trade, and recycled clothing. The clothing and textile industry is the second largest contributor to global warming. Puente Hills Couture was created using paper that was made from red cotton clothing that thrift stores had discarded, recycled metal, and woven gemstones.
