CALVARIO

The work – on gender violence – is a transparency got from three negatives (one central and one each side), scanned and printed on a photolithographic film 0,25 mm thick.
It is conceived to be seen hung (no frame, with its flexibility and flimsiness – to stress the blur of the rapresented subject – with in case an invisible rigid hang at the top) in a passageway, over the heads, so that it is visible both sides in room lighting from bottom.
The thin grid ¬ – visible only at grater enlargements at the monitor ¬ – on the original work is made by blade-carving the emulsion surface and produce, in live viewing, rifractions given by the light sources.
The piece of work exist in three copies same size, on barit photographic paper too, mounted on a wooden board.
