Desiderio e Sazietà
While painting this lovely tree which grows in the famous Portland Japanese Garden, I envisioned the elements of desire and satiety. To my mind, the tree with it's flaming leaves and gestures of hands, which can be seen in both its leaves and branches, represent the passionate grasping of desire.
