Filira

6 modules (15x15cm, 20x20cm, 10x10cm, 50x80cm, 80x80cm, 25x25cm), ink, oil and pencil on Japanese paper ivory and white porcelain on wood.

(...) And you came
and smiled to him under the linden
which now goes quivering with abandoned frondi
(I Sepolcri, U. Foscolo, vv 66,67)

This work is an invitation to lie down metaphorically under the linden tree, to contemplate its forms and lines, to taste the scent of its flowers or tenderness of the wood, to read in the transparency of the leaves the source of energy that dwells in each tree.
And the linden tree is the female tree par excellence, for its appearance and for the sweetness that its flowers spread in summer.
