This is a project that was done by my dear friend from Germany *Angelived”. I wrote the poem exclusively for her, and she combined it with her award winning image. She also did the graphic design layout. I have to admit that it took me a while to get comfortable with this project because she displayed my name so boldly in the title. I’m more of a low key person (it’s about art). But at the end of the day I grew to LOVE this work.

"Cathleen"

I knew then, of Angels, beyond the sky-
as I looked upon the gift, of their spellbinding hands.
For certainly it was they, who conspired haunt us,
with a feminine divine, of such breathless magnificence-
that no man might be left,
without desperate pangs of longing, unrestrained.


They must have summoned the rains,
to wash her in the essence of splendor.
They must have summoned the winds,
to carve such a figure of womanly elegance.
They must have summoned the gentle spirits;
to breathe life and laughter into her delicate heart…
Then struck down a star; to craft a golden aura for her soul.


And when their work was done-
they danced their celebration of triumph;
knowing that the Goddess “Cathleen”…
would kindle their legacy of beauty incarnate,
in unspoken words, written with the stars in our eyes;
and inscribed in radiance forever, across the universal sky…
