Artist statement:

My most interesting works are the result of mistakes and experiments.
In the Mona Lisa series, the errors of the cheap camera, with the
malfunctioning shutter, in combination with the unforeseen sudden
reflections in the glass, are making these works so unique and intriguing.
The Mona Lisa seems to come to life in all its ambiguity and
the mystery is only growing.
It seems she plays with my eagerness and desire.
As if she is glad to escape from the straitjacket of da Vinci, as if she wants
to dance on the movement of the camera and entrusts herself to me.
My fascination is rewarded, this sensible intimacy is enchanting.

lyrical. I love the Mona Lisa. She is the archetype of the modern artwork. She is the individual defined, yet she is also the prosaic. She is the daisy who refuses to be treated as all other daisies.
