I think most of the artwork was conceived by mistake but was not born by mistake, as, indeed, most of us.
I wanted to photograph the rain, the pace and direction of falling water and the moment of impact with the ground or with the glass of a window. I photographed
only a few drops, perfectly focused and property on a window pane. I decided to repeat the experiment on the road, during a downpour.
To support the “error” was the unfamiliarity with the digital camera, recently acquired, and car sickness, distracted by the interest in photographic experiment, randomly therapy.
The display appeared a series of blurred images and moves on a gray background (sky and asphalt that were reflected). I was not able to capture the rain but the result was interesting. I decided to insist. By trial and error I got fascinating images: luminous figures floating in space, unreal landscapes alternating with a dark confusing to reappear in the form of lightning.
Video "with rain reduce speed", whose title is taken from one of the neon signs that appear intermittently while traveling on the highway, born from the selection of those images accompanied by audio recording of a storm, which occurred at a later time, in an attempt to recreate the feeling you get "when it rains."
