Cenere
Cenere is a series of photographs showing the facial prints of 6 different races. Although each race differs in skin colour, this series of work represents different human races using a non-figurative photographic language based on the characteristics of people’s skin instead of on their colour. My project shows that the real identity of an individual may lie on the imprint of the skin, not in its colour, neither on the structure of our heads.
This specific project aims to contribute to an increase in respect for cultural diversity, while simultaneously highlighting individual identity within our common biological heritage.
