(Un)dead Memories
We preserve our childhood's memories more jealously than any others memories, because in that we find some consolation. But we are obsessed by the fear of losing this beautiful memories, so we try to save it so hard that they can become scary, near to death. The tenderness of those memories become comfortable and disturbing at the same time.
Closed in jar full of formalin like animals in museum's thecas, we find the symbolic objects of our childhood, the toys. I wanted to emphasize the uncanny aspect of this image using a dramatic light. The objects are suspended in a black background, so they are abstracted from the real world, becoming pure mental and symbolic objects.
