Painting, Abstract informal, Acrylic, 122x91.4cm
This series of implosions and explosions conceptualizes "The End" as both the destruction of the past and the birth of the future. Through the abstraction of circular motion, each work represents catastrophic ends in the form of a big bang while simultaneously alluding to new beginnings with the semblance of an embryonic organism ready to hatch. In this way, my paintings illustrate my interest in change and adaptation: how frenzied and tumultuous energy surrounding expiration can result in new life forces.
