Sculpture, Fantasy / Visionary, Light, 35x40x35cm

This work focuses more on the philosophy of the actions than on the detail of the forms. It presents an ugly version of evolution of human life. It begins with the birth ( fetus on the piece of work) and continues with the swing and the noose. It is inspired from an unpublished poem I wrote in 1994 titled "the ropes".

Great is the joy of man
swinging
on two thick ropes
hanging on the branch of a tree.
Great is the misfortune of man
swinging
on two thick ropes
hanging on the branch of a tree.

Some of the questions originating from this work are:

Who is happier? The man on the swing or the hanged man?

Is the man, who is swinging, happy?

Could the noose be the salvation of some people

What's the aim of the fetus, to live or die?
