L'albero della vita

L'albero della vita

Sculpture, Plants , 20x25x20cm
I thought that a "tree of life" is a contrasting view to a tragic vision described through the end of the world.
Dark but bright at the same time, it is represented by a stylization of a tree that somehow struggle for life.
Contrasted against a force that seems to want to drag tear down, to suppress his instincts and charisma.
Since the time of the Lombards the tree has always been a sacred symbol, an object of veneration and sometimes as the incarnation of divinity itself.
Since ancient times, trees were considered by the major civilizations as true symbols of the union between the depths of the earth and the boundless space of the sky and the gods progenitor of mankind.
It also represents the passage of time, thus underlining the possibility of challenging situations and elusive
of eternal life, physical and spiritual immortality.
