Friendship Shreds

Friendship Shreds

Dear,
when I kept my last letter to you, torn apart as we were, and put "our friendship shreds" in a box with the hope communication would resume one day, I had nothing but will. Today our friendship stands stronger than ever. Those words and sadness were transformed into form, a form already containing the word Happiness within (Felicità in Italian - maybe the only readable word on the left side of the photograph), a form that spoke of my belief in the potential of a new beginning.

With the few photographs I also submit here I'd like to explore the beauty that still can be found in ending scenarios, its gentle leading us to accept life as it is and never give up plans and hopes. The end as beginning, whatever tomorrow will bring.
So, the end and the beginning show in "Three Kids" (the image that depicts a very old man sitting still at a bar table where his grandchildren play); in the photo of the fish tanks tragedy sprayed on the mattress down the street, with its feeling of helplessness but also ironic commentary; in the seasons' cycles - autumn leaves, blossoms' end.
All together, the end as the beginning in and out of us, all around us, both in colors and black&white.

These 5 photographs can be hung on the wall either in a group of different sizes prints, or composing 2 diptychs (with one color and one black&white image each) plus the red image as a very tiny print.

I like the delicate response to a heavy theme
