Ali Zülfikar works with traditional Anatolian wollcolor, like thousands of years ago from natural products produced by handwork. This is exclusively for textile colors. They have something of the landscape itself, from which they originate. Because this is so, they are extremely valuable to the artist and form the material substance of his paintings. In his studio he processed them further up to the state in which he needs for his work. Ali Zülfikar knows the plants for the production of precursors of these colors are needed and he also knows the areas where these plants grow.
