I'll love you forever

Very often violence occurs against women in the home. The attackers are generally men who are well known to the women they abuse and include relatives and more usually husbands.
Some men will develop a marriage based on submission or with a warped view that their wife is a possession involving both physical and psychological control which often leads to crime.
The love that binds a wife to a husband as well as the fear, the slavery and shame often prevents her from reporting the abuse to the police or even close friends. Even when considering reporting the abuse, a woman fears she will not be believed and even in extreme cases mocked and told she should put up with it.
