Liquid Universe
This painting, which examines the figure abstracted, mutated, and reflected within a lush liquid environment lends itself to a paradox of feelings when being viewed.
The painting is without a horizon line, so as not to have a reference of anything solid to draw perspectives upon – allowing the viewer to feel like they are under the water with the girl or acting as a voyeur from above.
'Liquid Universe' plays with the concept of a modern cubism which is beginning to grow within my current portfolio of works.
