"Zomerwende"

This painting is inspired by the landscapes in Portugal and the the abundance of sun, where throught the translation in thick paint the landscape becomes more abstract but therefore also more realistic, because all boundaries disappear, and interpretation broadens. The painting is finished when I experience the same intensity in light, as in nature, where I almost feel like protecting my eyes from the sharp sunlight.
