High quality photography of paintings is extremely difficult. Colours change. This is not an ideal picture of the work. The colour is deep red. This work is based on a photograph of EU president Van Rompuy meeting with other world leaders, to discuss the financial crisis. A sword can be seen at the top left. This could be the sword of power, or the sword of Damocles, hanging above their heads.
