Balance

I grew up in a country where freedom and basic human rights have been neglected for decades. Women in particular have been oppressed because of their gender. Living under oppression for many years became the reason for my self-suppression. In this video, I have tried to show the different sides of me that I had to develop in order to survive during those years living in Iran. The comfortable lifestyle and freedom that I experienced after moving to Canada has given me the opportunity to explore my creativity through art. My art comments on my past experience of injustice toward women that still continues today.
