Grande turchese, dittico

I believe that must be the signs, the material and the colour to speak, and they can say different things, but also very similar. They can do this this because they are life, they can speak about time, they can speak about travel, they can tell you about changing. This work is part of a series of paintings featured by big hatchs of colour, closed into a black band that I frequently put on the right of the canvas, sometimes on the upper edge and on the sides. The black creates a limit, in every canvas I always left an open side, in order to give the colour the chance to expand to infinity. The canvas, the material and the colour are "the place", physical space, with limits, borders, but the colour embraces, includes, compenetrates and penetrates who is watching, beyond the limits.
The painted canvas is part of life, nothing of what it's seen it's symbol, everything it's sign, trace, map in which you can enter.
In my work I try to leave a trace of the time, I underline the "passing of time", the instability, the value and the loss, creating levels of colour and material which hide in part what it is underneath: invisible trajectories, relationship. From a point of view those signs are my prints, my "taking possession" of the space and the support, on the other side the sings represent the invisible, the relationship between things, relationships and distances, the structure that supports.
We are made of relationship, we are in big part the result of the relationships that we build up with ourselves and our natural and social environment.
Maybe all the meaning consists in questioning, watching from another point of view, finding other solutions. It consists maybe in always different kind of relationships. Growth, value, life itself stays in this capacity of changing and getting us in contact.
