3046 lovers, is a lamp and a sculture. It is a new way to see a lamp and a sculpture as well. It represent a hugging couple that light up the environment both their love and light. the materials that are used in this piece (acrylic, steel and ping pong balls) create a multi dimensional effect of shades and light. It is a combination of high tec materials together with a very common material like ping pong balls that are usually used for a completely different purpose. Half the balls have the natural color of ping pong balls (white) and being semi transparent light up with the laterial neon light installed on the sculpture. the rest of the balls that represent the male figure are coloured in metal color and reflect the light. The figures that are made from the balls reflect on the acrylic and the steel and create a multi dimensional effect of shades and light. It is highly decorative and very contemporary and suprising due to the selection of the materials.
