Water Island Huys Hengelo

Water Island is located at the spot where 20 years ago, the ruins of Huys Hengelo were dug up and mapped. On top of the island are the outlines of the former Huys embossed in stone. A number of times per day the island is flooded so everything disappears under water, this takes about two hours. When the water reaches the highest level then a valves opens and within half an hour the island is completely empty. With at first the outer walls vissible than the inner walls and eventually a possible interpretation of the rooms.
