Machine 44

Machine 44

The work consists of a finger, carved cypress wood, which is part and contribute as any other gimmick (piece of cast iron) to the proper functioning of the world-machine. The absolutism of the finger and the gimmick is imposed on a drawing (engraved on wood) taken from a poster of the "French May". The mechanization of life seen as an obstacle up now about forty years ago becomes complementary to the everyday man.
