The Mac Guffin (according to Sir Alfred) is an object, a weapon, a precious, a secret, a loving environment or even an obsession capable of setting in motion the entire plot of a movie or a story. My video source is a meta-assembly of Mc-Guffin moments stolen from other films and mixed together in a precise pattern in which frames and sound form a shimmering surface. Time is marked by the ticking of a bomb countdown, mentioned explicitly in the movie. The object which I took as an icon of the Mc Guffin is the suitcase, framing the original video frames treated as a generator of images to be used as light panels for the installations of the same name and, therefore, of the same form of 'archetype of Duchamp's memory.
