GUARDAMI! (LOOK AT ME!)
It is a message against the indifference and alienation.
GUARDAMI! (LOOK AT ME!) The web performance is a new form of Contemporary Art conceived on a popular social network on September the 18th, 2010,that doesn’t employ a physical space as meeting place – a gallery, a museum – but uses a virtual setting, easily approachable from any part of the planet.
Anyone who has a computer, a video camera and internet connection can be part of this great project.
GUARDAMI! THE WEB PERFORMANCE overtakes the ever-existing limit between the artist and the user, changing the connection, reducing the gap.
The artist is the creator, the generator of energy from which the art work comes to life, a life that will grow only if others, different from her, will decide to take part, to share the message, transmitting it simultaneously to other people.
The web performance, until today regarded as an interaction between the media and the artist, change its structure.
It becomes one’s own life art work, in constant evolution, capable of integrating cultures, ethnicities, different personalities.
It becomes a collective art work, with a single creator but potentially thousands of performers and millions of users, in which even the performing time and use dilate to infinity.
