S1 Drip Painting #1

This painting, which is made with various kinds of tape on an un-primed recycled piece of MDF was made as a way of thinking about one of the great tropes of high modernist and post modernist abstract painting - the drip. Since the picture was made gravity has intervened and the tape has begun to 'drip' unravelling slowly along the vertical of the picture surface.
