Independent film which is a tribute to the controversial female Federico Garcìa Lorca character Yerma. Filmed in both Belgium and Italy, performed by the belgian butoh theatre's performer, Lies Serdons, the project want to tell the tale of Yerma’s manifest musings and interior monologues in visual terms. Originally conceived and directed by Tommaso Pedone as a contemporary art mix, it ties the dramatic silence and spirituality of Japanese Butoh theatre to Lorca’s expressive Spanish warmth, at the same time eliminating socio-geographic references to get to the core poetics expressed as universal images.
