animasuri is an ongoing project using text, sound and visuals, possibly mixed with irony, as comments and reflection on the perceptions of daily experiences of a common individual. It combines various stylistic classifications without trying to be blasé towards the other genres. animasuri browses through sound art, appropriationist art, sound poetry, musique concrète / acousmatic music, minimalism, electro-acoustic music, computer / algorithmic music, and spoken word. The compositions take shape as soundscapes or verbal explorations. As source material soundbites are derived from pre-existing sonic materials, artificial creations and digital errors, environmental recordings, bioacoustics, and sonic appropriation. animasuri is also visual using various media to express form. The intertwined struggle between media, culture and technology through space-time are of interest to animasuri.
